Welcome to 122ndArmyBand.com:
For over 50 years, the Ohio National Guard's 122nd Army Band has been a staple of the musical tradition of the United States military in Ohio. Members from every corner of the state (plus a few from other states) are charged with carrying out the mission of increasing troop morale and creating a link between the public and the Ohio Army National Guard.
As one of the largest National Guard bands in the nation, the 122nd is able to utilize its resources to play dozens of concerts each year. Citizens, soldiers, and other musicians have agreed that the 122nd Army Band is one of the finest groups of its kind in the nation.
The 122nd's seven performing groups — the Concert Band, Stage Band, Rock Band, Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, Ceremonial Band and Tuba Ensemble — play a wide variety of performances, ranging from military ceremonies to full concerts. Throughout the year, the band meets one weekend a month to rehearse and perform at a variety of functions. The band's 2-week annual training is a unique concert tour that allows the audience to hear the full breadth of talent of the 122nd's members in a summer concert setting.
